Frequently Asked Questions

Travellers

  1. What is Tourly?
    • Proudly developed in Madeira, Tourly is the new kid in town making the connection between tourists, tour operators, and resellers better than ever before! Her goal? To make life easier for tourists looking to have a great experience, for tour operators wanting to expand their business revenue, and for resellers searching for an additional source of income.
  2. What are tourlies?
    • Tourlies are all the experiences that can be booked on Tourly. You may book a tourly - which is one tour - or many tourlies - which, you guessed it, means various tours.
  3. What are tourly suppliers?
    • Tourly suppliers are the tour operators who supply our platform with amazing experiences and from whom you can book your tourlies.
  4. What are tourly sellers?
    • Tourly sellers are people who wish to resell tourlies from our tourly suppliers in exchange for a commission. They're usually rental accommodation hosts, hotel receptionists, or others who are regularly approached by tourists looking for an activity.
  5. How can I book tourlies?
    • Booking a tourly requires creating an account that can be set up in less than 2 minutes. After the account has been created and verified, browse for tourlies and easily book any by selecting the number of people, date and timeslot and then clicking 'Check availability'. You'll also be asked to fill in payment and billing details if they have not yet been filled in your account settings. After you have requested to book a specific tourly, you'll have to wait for the confirmation from the tourly supplier - which won't take long.
  6. Is there any downside to using the Tourly link someone shared with me?
    • Absolutely not! Tourly works with thousands of trusted resellers that use their affiliate links in order to track their commissions. Besides that, there aren't any other differences whatsoever - the same tourly, the same price, the same experience!
  7. Can I book tours for the same day?
    • Yes! It is in fact possible to book a tourly for the same day if, of course, there is availability and the tourly supplier confirms the request.
  8. How do I create an account?
    • Creating an account is simple and straightforward taking you no longer than 2 minutes. Follow these steps to create your account:
      1. Click the signup button that's on the top right-hand corner;

      4. Click the signup button. By clicking the signup button you are accepting our terms and conditions.
      5. Verify your Tourly account by clicking the link that has been sent to your email.
      6. Once your account has been verified we recommend you set up your payment details in order to save time and not worry about it in the future. To fill in your payment details:

  10. When I request to book a tourly is it automatically confirmed?
    • No. Requesting to book is in other words asking the tourly supplier for approval, which means that it's only confirmed after they've accepted your request. You'll be notified by email every time your request was accepted or even rejected.
  11. What confirms my booking request?
    • After the tourly has been confirmed you'll receive an email confirmation that is valid as an e-ticket, that should be shown on the day to the person who is responsible.
  12. What are my options when I can't make it to a tour?
    • You're able to cancel the tourly any time, but refunds may or may not happen depending on when the cancellations actually happen. So, if you cancel at least 24 hours before the booked timeslot a full refund is made. Any cancellations made within 24 hours before the booking may not be refunded.
  13. If a booking is cancelled by a tour operator will I be notified?
    • Yes of course! Communication is key for good things to happen, so no worries you'll always be notified if there's any update regarding the tourly you've booked.

  5. How is my commission calculated?
    • We have five different reselling tiers, each with its own commission rate. Everyone starts in the Standard tier, which rewards you with 5% of your sales as your commission. If you manage to get over 250€ in sales, you move to the Bronze tier in the next month and get a 7.5% commission rate. Sellers with over 500€ in sales move to the Silver tier with a 10% commission rate and with over 1,000€ move to the Gold tier with a 12.5% commission rate. Lastly, if you're a sales champion selling over 2,000, you'll get to the Platinum tier and get 15% as your commission.

  8. Do my commissions expire?
    • Nope! Your commissions never expire. If you still haven't fully confirmed and verified your account yet, we will keep your commission safe until you do so, no matter how long you take.
  9. What happens to my commission when the booking is canceled?
    • We work very hard with our partners to make cancellations as rare as possible by offering customers reschedules and alternatives, but they can still happen! Unfortunately, when they do, your commission will also be refunded either from the current or the following month's payout amount.
  10. What kind of bank account do I need to have to receive payouts?
    • We should accept all personal and business European bank accounts. If you have any issues using your European bank account, please send us a message here.
